Persistent worlds
A place has state beyond a single visit. Time advances. Characters continue behaving. Things happen while nobody is watching.
Fictional places.
Autonomous characters.
Persistent worlds.
We make fictional places
We build digital places with their own time, characters, weather, routines and stories.

02 / THE PLACES
Not apps. Not feeds. Not dashboards. Places with their own time, people, moods and weather.
We are interested in the parts of the internet that behave more like places than products. You can visit them. Something might happen. And when you come back tomorrow, the place has moved on.

Consent Bar Stories / Book 01
Three days of rain. One drink. Two strangers.
A drifter walks into Consent Bar looking for nothing more than a drink. Rachel, the android bartender, has seen people like her before. Bobby isn't so easy to place.
What begins as a quiet conversation becomes a story about memory, identity, and the versions of the past we choose to believe.
03 / WHAT MAKES THEM ALIVE
The trick isn't making a convincing interface. The trick is making the place continue without you.
Characters have schedules. Places have state. Events happen. Agents perceive what happened and decide what they want to do next. The world itself decides what actually happens.
A place has state beyond a single visit. Time advances. Characters continue behaving. Things happen while nobody is watching.
Characters are actors inside the world. They perceive events, think about situations, form intentions and request actions.
Intelligence doesn't get to rewrite reality. The world validates actions and records what actually happened.
04 / OUR CODE
A few principles for building things that don't feel like software.
We are FunnyFiction.
Cookie banners. Infinite feeds. Empty dashboards. Interfaces designed to keep you clicking but nowhere worth actually being.
We want the opposite.
Places with weather. Characters with routines. Stories that don't need a notification to exist.
We build fictional places and let them become a little unpredictable.
We don't optimize interfaces.
We build worlds.
